（1）The
reservoir was begun to start building in October of 1973.
（2）Gucheng reservoir
project had been finished by the end of 1981, which mainly irrigates
farmland and generates electricity. Then it carried out mixed
management and tried to develop tourism. At the beginning, there
were just 1 powerboat and 3 motorboats. Gucheng reservoir was a
section unit affiliated by Water Conservancy Bureau of County at
that time.
（3）Longqing
Ravine was granted as one of 16 scenic spots in the activity of “
I love Beijing’s mountain and water” in 1986.
（4）It
formally set up a section office and established Longqing Ravine
Traveling Company in 1987. Gucheng reservoir was renamed as Longqing
Ravine management office, while its system was changed into a vice
department unit. The party committee and government of the county
began to prepare the 1st ice lantern art festival in
Longqing Ravine, and held the 1st ice lantern art
festival successfully at the beginning of the year. From then on,
ice lantern art festival becomes a traditional program for tourism
in winter in Beijing.
（5）It
increased 20 storage battery boats and built amusement programs like
“ fly” and “ dodgems”, as well as a new cave in 1989. It
launched on establishing the scenic spot “ magic world”.
（6）It
increased 2 catamarans with double deck and 251 seats in 1990. The
system of Longqing Ravine was changed into a department unit,
entering the second leadership of the county.
（7）In 1991, it
set about setting up west building of Yudu villa and restaurant of
Chuxiu Garden. There are 116 beds in west building and 300 people
can have dinner at the restaurant at the same time.
（8）Jiang
Zemin, general secretary of PRC, visited Longqing Ravine and
inscribed “ Longqing Ravine” on 23rd May 1992. In
October of 1992, the scenic spot “ magic world” began to welcome
visitors.
（9）Office
building was built in 1993.
（10）It
destroyed the bungalow and began to build Courtyard Park in 1994.
（11）It
constructed training center of dragon Longgongyuan in the way of the
joint venture and opened on 28th June 1995, with 110
berths in all.
（12）Tenglong
elevator was open on 28th June 1995. “Longqing
Ravine” was chosen as “ civilization scenic spot” in the
appraisal activity, keeping this title as so far.
（13）
“ magic world” was reconstructed as “flowers cave” in 1997.
（14）Ropeway
and slideway were built in 1998. it developed the scenic spot--
“the gods yard in the way of long-term tenancy. Longqing
Ravine successfully joined Beijing holding Co., Ltd in October.
（15）At
the early of 2000, Longqing Ravine traveling company and
Zhangshanying county (Jinjiabao county) jointly developed the
scenic spot--Yudu Mountain through the stock system..
